It’s a ring as it makes a complete circle with no discernible starting or ending point. I got the gunmetal, it looks like it was splatter-painted to get the color, lots of tiny dots of a different color but from a distance it is not too noticeable. As for size, I should have gone down one size, was afraid if I did it would be too tight. I measured multiple times and ordered the size according to the chart. This ring is better than going to the hardware store and getting o-ring.

My husband uses his ring every day, which as an arborist is very important to have something flexible that will not get in the way of his work/cause him to lose a finger. He had his ring for a little over two months before it got caught on a branch - did not break, but it "rubber banded" away and he lost it! We loved the 6mm option that is not too thick as many silicon rings are a bit overpowering. He is also very active in sports, and this is a great option as the sweat does not ruin the material. We will most likely re-order, but had hoped to find a pack of rings in the event he loses a future ring. It did its job however!

It fits well and is comfortable. It gives me a good piece of mond knowing that i can work without the risk of electrical shock, or getting caught in a rotating tool.
