Why We Started a Christian Wedding Ring Company

Faith Is The Cornerstone Of Everything We Do

A small, family-owned business, SafeRingz started as a dream between three siblings and their spouses. One of our siblings invented the silicone wedding ring in 1996, so it made sense that our business would center on two things we all value: marriage and our Christian faith.

And SafeRingz, a Christian wedding ring company, was born.

Our ideals mean that we take commitment seriously, and that’s why we started this business. We want to make it easy and safe for everyone to proudly show their commitment to their spouse no matter what. Each silicone wedding band is durable enough to withstand daily wear, but also flexible, nonconductive, and breakable to ensure firefighters, linemen, triathletes, nurses, electricians, construction workers, machinists, and soldiers can safely wear them.

A wedding ring is the symbol of commitment. It’s a daily reminder to put your faith and marriage first. When you think about a wedding ring that way, do you want to put it aside, even to do important work? For most of our customers, the answer is no. (Check out what our customers have to say about our Christian wedding rings.)

Christian Wedding Rings as a Symbol of Commitment

Your wedding ring is a physical reminder of the vows you made to your spouse. That reminder is important for Christians because marriage is more than just a romantic union. It’s also…

  • Part of God’s plan for creation.
  • A relationship that helps you and your spouse support each other.
  • A secure environment for raising children.
  • A means of serving and glorifying God.

In Mark 10:6-9, Jesus emphasized the importance of marriage when He said, “But from the beginning of creation, God made them male and female. For this reason, a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh. So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.”

For Christians, the wedding ring is a symbol of that sacred unity.

YESJ: The Trademark of a Christian Wedding Ring

One way you can tell you have an authentic and safe SafeRingz wedding band is to look for our YESJ ® trademark on the inside of the ring. This logo has a couple of purposes:

  • It assures you that the ring meets our rigorous safety standards.
  • It proudly shows that folks who follow Jesus’s path created the ring.

Our logo is both a nod to our past and to our values. When we first started our business back in 2005, our company was named Younique Elastometric Silicone Jewelry, but in 2010, we changed it to SafeRingz. Despite the name change, we kept the YESJ on the inside of the ring – it’s our team’s way of saying, "YES Jesus."

We put our faith and families first in everything we do, and this logo is one way of showing that. We hope it’s true for you, too.

Silicone rings – what’s with all the hype?

You’ve probably seen your fellow gym rat, outdoor enthusiast, or even your local mechanic wearing one. The truth is, there are a variety of reasons you may want to wear a silicone ring instead of a metal one.

And if you are thinking about purchasing one, you probably have a few questions.

What is Silicone? (And why make a ring out of it?)

As a company that makes silicone wedding rings, we talk a lot about the benefits of silicone.

Like how it’s durable enough to hold up to everyday wear and tear. And at the same time, it will break under pressure to keep you and your fingers safe.

But what actually is silicone?

We thought it was time to talk about the material our rings are made of – and why we make rings out of this versatile substance in the first place.
